Application Eligibility and Process

This application should only be completed by those who plan to start their PhD program in summer 2027, fall 2027, or spring 2028.

Students who submit their Ph.D. application, including all required materials, and the Kummer I&E Fellowship application, by the application deadline will then be reviewed by the academic department and top candidates will be reviewed by the Kummer I&E Doctoral Fellows Program Selection Committee. Fall 2027 Award Cycle Application Deadlines

• Faculty Commitment Form: October 1, 2026
• Student application: January 5, 2027. KDF Application.
• Academic Departments Review and select top candidates: January 6-January 14, 2027
• Selection Committee Review: January 15- February18, 2027
• Finalist Student Interviews: February 22-26, 2027
• Award Announcements: March 3, 2027
• Acceptance Deadline: April 15, 2027
