New Students

The Kummer I&E Doctoral Fellows Program is open to domestic and international full-time Ph.D. students admitted to an on-campus degree program who have started their PhD program in summer 2025 or fall 2025 or are planning on starting their PhD program in either the spring 2026, summer 2026, or fall 2026.

Current Missouri S&T Master’s Students

Students enrolled in any Missouri S&T master’s degree are eligible to apply for the Kummer I&E Doctoral Fellows program for the 2026 award so long as they will have completed their master's degree before the fall 2026 semester.

• A student who enrolls in a Ph.D. program at Missouri S&T and then conducts a change of education level to pursue a master’s degree will not be eligible to apply for the Kummer I&E Doctoral Fellows program while still completing their master's degree.
