FAFSA Tips

  • Use Missouri S&T's FAFSA code: 002517, so that your FAFSA info gets sent to us
  • Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible, but preferably before the 25-26 priority deadline of February 1 to ensure eligibility for aid programs with limited funds, such as work-study
  • The FAFSA can be completed at any time throughout the year, but it is best to submit before February 1 for the 25-26 aid year
  • Submit a FAFSA each year you plan to enroll at S&T. 
  • For students enrolled as apart of the Missouri State University (MSU) Cooperative program, you will not send your FAFSA to S&T at any time as your federal and state aid will be awarded by MSU for your entire academic career. Please make sure you have sent it MSU each year.

  • Missouri S&T's FAFSA code: 00251
  • Social Security Number
  • Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
  • An FSA ID to sign in electronically
